The space under the MRTS Line between Mundakanni Amman street and Thirumayilai railway station is under utilized. Often used for non-regulated parking and this ends up clogging traffic in the surrounding neighbourhood.To improve this situation, Cityworks had proposed pedestrian accessway along the Buckingham canal between these 2 stations.This walkway would not only improve the waterfront development along the canal but will be hugely benefited by students and residents who don’t have access to footpaths in that vicinity.
