   The Thiruchendur Murugan Temple is a 2,000-year-old temple complex is one of the largest temple complexes in South India and is built    near the seashore. The design focuses on creating a holistic and inclusive environment which serves both the devotees and temple staff. A total of xx buildings have been created with lush open spaces to go along with it. Old dilapidated structures have been demolished and heritage structures have been conserved. A common design language has been incorporated throughout the temple complex.
